New Items and Revamp of the blog!

So, I realize I haven't been too good in keeping up my blog.  I'm hoping to change that in the near future and I hope that you'll stick around or join if you're seeing this for the first time and check out what's new.  Also, in the upcoming months or maybe even weeks, I'll be holding contests!

And just FYI: all purchased items from my etsy site (although I've already been doing this, but it's not been publicly known..) come with a free gift.

Steampunk News

Due to the holidays and work, I realize it's been awhile since I've posted on my blog, but I'm hoping to do much more of that before Christmas comes!

Also, I've got some great news to share.  I recently had my first sale on Etsy and I'm so proud.  My Miniature Steampunk Laptop sold.  Yay!

As of right now I'm working on jewelry, hair clips, tie pins and of course, miniatures for dollhouses.  I'm hoping to put a lot more up on etsy in the comings weeks so check back periodically.

Just listed in my shop is an original steampunk hair clip:

I just love steampunk.  One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of people at San Diego Comic Con wearing steampunk costumes. Steampunk is just so unique.  I really hope more people get into the fad.

Anyway, more coming soon!  Thanks for stopping by.

Future projects

So, I've been getting kind of a slow start to my shop, but this will change soon!  I'm currently working on a bunch of miniatures.  If you've been to my shop lately you'll see I added some miniature bowling balls and a baby mandrake.  Both were really fun to make.  Also, in the near future I'm hoping to come up with a lot of miniature man cave themes so check back often!

My Etsy Shop

I'm almost finished with a candy apple prep board which is oh so cute!  Really, it takes a lot of effort for me to not keep the things I make (as you can see I failed miserably with my NBC tree below).

I'm also working on another 7 inch tree, some craft baskets and a miniature Steampunk Laptop (which turns out to be more complicated to make than I thought it would be.)

So I hope you'll check back often.  Have a great day!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!  My name is Jen.  Jam is a nickname that I've had for a long time so I decided to use it for my shop.  What is this shop?  Well, JAM Miniatures is an online store started recently by me featuring my miniature dollhouse work.  I decided to start this blog so that I could post updates on what I'm working on and what you can look forward to seeing in my etsy shop.

My etsy shop: JAM Miniatures

I'm working on putting more items in, so check back frequently.  As of right now, I just finished a 7 inch christmas tree in the style of the nightmare before christmas, but I love it so much that I think I'm going to keep it!  I know, I know, that's not very shop owner of me, but I got to thinking, I can still display it on this blog so that if anyone likes it, they can commission me to make another one!

So if you like this, or would like something like it, please go to my etsy shop and convo me.  We'll work something out.  Also, it can be any kind of tree and any kind of theme.  I've been actually wanting to do an Alice in Wonderland theme, so if anyone has that in mind, you would make my day.  :)

Now I've got to get back to work.  More themes coming up!
